ENERGY 21C CONFERENCE TO RECOGNISE YOUNG ULILITY LEADERS OF THE FUTURE

The Energy 21C Conference Organising Committee recognises that current undergraduates, apprentices and recent graduates will be instrumental in the long-term future of the energy delivery industry.

Indeed, the Organising Committee is working to create a prominent forum at Energy 21C for future leaders to present their views and aspirations for the industry.

Energy 21C will incorporate the following activities to project us into the future from the perspectives of emerging decision makers:
• a complete session of power presentations (each of 5 minutes duration) for young people considering a future in the industry (for example, power engineering undergraduate students) recent graduates and apprentices who have been part of utility development programs;
• a plenary session on the third day of the conference embracing the theme: “The Future of the Energy Delivery Industry as Seen Though the Eyes of Our Young People”;
• an award to a young member of the industry who has been involved in an organising capacity or who has demonstrated excellence in a presentation to the conference; and
• invitations to Education Guidance Officers to attend the power presentation session and plenary session.

The Organising Committee will be working with universities, utilities, manufacturers and suppliers to the industry to encourage participation by young people at the conference and to acknowledge their skills and ambition.
